The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs is now seeking feedback from the public on Bill 106. Public hearings will be held in Toronto on October 22, 2015 and October 29, 2015. Those who would like to be considered to make an oral presentation must contact the Clerk of the Committee by noon on October 19, 2015. The Clerk will accept collect calls. Contact details are set out in the government notice. Written comments can also be submitted by no later than 6:00 pm on October 29, 2015.
While extensive feedback was provided by the public and condominium-industry stakeholders before Bill 106 was drafted, this presents an opportunity for interested parties to provide additional comments, which may result in amendments to Bill 106. After the Standing Committee completes its review, it will prepare a report, which may include proposed amendments.
