It is March 31st, 2018 and although we were all waiting for April 1, 2018 for the launch, the registry is up and running. Anyone wanting to get information about a condominium corporation in the Province of Ontario can now search the registry and get the following information:
- Name of all the directors and when each director’s term started
- Name of condominium management company and condominium manager
- Registration date of the Declaration
- Name of declarant (the developer)
- Address for service for the condominium corporation
- Address listed on the Declaration (which may be the address of the condominium property)
- Number of units and number of voting units
- Fiscal year end
- Date of last AGM
If your condominium corporation is not listed, that may be because your corporation has not filed its returns. Returns are required to be filed by every condominium corporation in the Province of Ontario. Annual and transitional returns are to be filed by March 31, 2018.
